Seasons

In the Spring and early Summer we fish the flats using a Keys style flats boat to stalk stripers in the skinny shallows of the Peconic and Gardiner’s Bay. This approach allows anglers an opportunity to stalk  and  cast to striped bass in 1′-3′ of water. It is true sight-fishing. We do this with both fly rods and light tackle spinning rods.

In the Summer months, we spin fish and fly fish near Orient Point, The Gull Islands, Fishers Island, and Gardeners Island. These waters are cooler and large bass and bluefish reside there. This oft overlooked time of year can be extremely rewarding.

 

When the famous Fall run begins, we dock our 23′ SeaCraft in Montauk, NY from September 15-October 15. We fish Montauk Point and the surrounding waters for striped bass, bluefish and false albacore tuna. Demand is high for these trips and the calendar tends to fill up quickly.
